Equipment:
Standard Taekwondo uniform in good condition, white V-neck (Black stripe around the collar only for Black Belts), shin and instep-protector, fist and forearm protector (white only, elastic cushion-like stocking), protective groin cup, chest protector, headgear and mouthpiece is mandatory for gyoroogi competition. Gumdo competitors need official Koryo Gumdo uniform and Gah Gum or wooden swords for Gumbup, Arm protector, Headgear for Gumdo Sparring and Foam Sword (Tournament Committee Approved) are mandatory. Hapkido uniforms must be white or black only.

Eligibility:
All Competitors must be students of an established school or club. Competitor’s individual membership with the USNTF is recommended.
Competition Rules and Regulations:
The current United States National Taekwondo Federation Rules and Regulations will govern these Championships.
Poomse:
Poomse are Palgwe Forms or Taegeuk Forms, Il Jang through Pal Jang for Color Belts, Koryo through Ilyo for Black Belts.
The Poomse Championships will be divided into Master, Senior, Adult, Junior, PeeWee, Mini Pee Wee, and rank in each division. Females and Males compete separately.
Adult Black Belt Poomse Competition will be divided into1st Dan, 2nd Dan, 3rd Dan, 4th Dan and Master Division.
First Dan does Koryo, 2nd Dan - Kuemgang, 3rd Dan - Taebaek, 4th Dan - Pyeongwon, etc...
Gyoroogi:
PeeWee through Junior division will consist of two (1 ˝ minute) rounds. All Adult color belts and Senior divisions for Gyoroogi will consist of two (1 ˝ minute) rounds.
Black belt division will consist of two (2 minute) rounds. Black belt finals will consist of three (2 minute) rounds.
If the number of competitors for each division is less than four, the tournament Committee has the option of combining two or three age groups of Color belts and Black belts into a single group and assigning the division of Advance, Intermediate, and Beginner.
In each combined group that there are too few participants in a division, each event will have only two weight divisions, Light and Heavy.
All Gyoroogi divisions will separate male and female competitors.
All Black Belt adult divisions will use LAJUST Electronic Chest Protector
(You must Purchase your own Socks for electronic chest Protector)
Rules concerning kicks to face shall be as follows:
1. Competitors who execute successful techniques with light contact and no injury shall be awarded a point. (This includes head area.)
2. A competitor who executes a kick to the head area which results in a minor injury (Bruising or Abrasion) shall receive a one-point deduction
3. Any competitor who executes a kick to the head area which results in bleeding, or the inability of the opponent to continue due to injury shall be disqualified. The jury, the referee and judges, after consultation with the tournament physician, shall make this determination and cannot be overruled.
Breaking
Age 4-5: 12"x9"x3/8" Board only/Flying side kick or Jumping hign front kick
Age 6-7: 12"x8" x 1/2"Board only/Flying side kick or Jumping hign kick
Age 8-9: 12"x6"x1" Board only/Flying side kick or Jumping hign kick
Age 10-13: 12"x8"x1" Board only/Flying Side kick or Jumping hign kick
Female Age 114 up:12"x8"1" Board only (Side Kick, back kick, Roundhouse kick and reverse round house, any jumping reverse side kick, back or roundhouse kick will be judged as superior Male Adult Age 14 up: 12"10"x1" Board only(Kick is same as Female division)
Power breaking division only male adult use fist and knife hand(Son nal) with 12"x10"x1" Board only (Set up time within 30 second)
Group Poomse
Must be more than 5 people in group with one minute and 1/2 performance
Gumdo Rules
Gumbup (Forms)-Official Koryo Gum Bup and Haedong Gumdo Gum Bup only
Gumdo Sparring - two (1 and 1/2 minute) rounds.
Award:
Each division will consist of 4 competitors and Medals will be awarded to the first, second, and two third place participants.
All Competitors will receive a Championship T-shirt.
All Pee Wee Black Belt, junior Black Belt and Adult Black Belt 1st place winners in the poomse divisions will compete again for Grand Champion.
Male and Female competitors will be grouped separately.
Group Poomse competitors will receive medals for all participants
