update: February 15, 2010

Dear Instructors and School Owners:

As for our 2010 USNTF International Championships at the end of July, I would like you to know that officials from the Kukkiwon will be present to conduct a Kukkiwon Certified Poomse Seminar and will officiate at the Black Belt testing. I know that all of you will take advantage of this rare opportunity.

I am also reminding you that when you make reservations at the Rosemont Hotel O’Hare you should use the code of USNTF to receive our rates. This hotel is a 5 star hotel that is honoring the prices we contracted for at the Wyndham hotel that closed January 1st without notifying us. I’m sure that you will be pleasantly surprised.

The Instructor Seminar and testing will take place July 30th, July 31st will be Junior competitions (13years old and younger), and August 1st will be the Adult and Gumdo competition (14years and older). Additional Championship details will be on our website and mailed direct. We will also accept applications with payments on-line.

Keep up the good work and support of your organization. I’m hoping that bigger things are on the horizon for all of us.

Sincerely,

Grandmaster Dr. Duk Gun Kwon
President of United States National Taekwondo Federation

Taekwondo Day Declaration

We were exciting to mention that Governor of Illinois, Patrick Quinn, was at our Opening Ceremonies and he has officially declared July 31 of every year, Illinois Taekwondo Day !
A lot of Taekwondo families attended the Opening Ceremonies as a showed of strength to Governor. This

could be very helpful for the status of Taekwondo in Illinois and, eventually, in other States.
We showed an impressive turnout !
